Join a prestigious Private Family Office overseeing a sophisticated, multi-entity portfolio of investments across several asset classes including real estate, private equity, and market securities.This is not a typical corporate role. As Strategic Controller, you will act as the right hand to the VP Finance, leading a small, high-performing team while managing the full accounting and reporting function for a diversified private investment structure. You will play a direct role in investment oversight and capital deployment decisions that shape the family's long-term financial vision.Your Mandate - Lead, Optimize, and Execute : - Own the Close : Direct and review all month-end and year-end activities across multiple holding companies and investment entities.- Master the Portfolio : Oversee complex investment accounting, reconciliations, and consolidated reporting across diverse asset classes.- Be Involved in Investment Placement : Collaborate closely with senior leadership on capital allocations, investment placements, and portfolio monitoring.- Be the Tax & Compliance Pillar : Ensure impeccable compliance with ASPE standards and all tax filings (GST / QST, corporate returns, T5s, NR slips).- Lead the Stakeholders : Serve as the key contact for auditors, tax advisors, banking institutions, and external investment partners.- Drive Optimization : Strengthen internal controls, streamline accounting processes, and enhance the ERP system (Sage Intacct) to support scalability and transparency.Why This Role Stands Out : - Work in a trusted, confidential setting with direct exposure to ownership and strategic decision-making.- Manage and mentor a dedicated accounting team of four, fostering excellence, autonomy, and accountability.- Your insights will directly influence investment strategies, tax planning, and long-term financial growth.- Enjoy the continuity and vision of a private holding structure combined with the flexibility of a modern hybrid work model in the West Island.What You Bring : - CPA-Auditor (required).- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership and exposure to multi-entity environments.- Hands-on experience in family office or investment accounting across several asset classes.- In-depth knowledge of ASPE and full-cycle tax compliance.- ERP proficiency essential; Sage Intacct a strong asset.- Strategic, analytical, and hands-on — equally comfortable leading teams and managing complex details.- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with internal teams and external partners.Please send your resume in Word format to Nader Nasar at nader.nasar@quantum.ca.REFER A PERM HIRE AND EARN UP TO $1,000!
