Heavy Duty Technician - Truck & Trailer - Night Shift

Brandt Truck & Trailers is seeking an individual to fill the position of Heavy Duty Technician in our Nisku location for a night shift (Monday - Thursday, 2:00 PM-12:30 AM). This position will be responsible for performing mechanical repair and maintenance of trucks and trailers.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct or assist the Journeyman with CVIP inspections
• Troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems
• Ability to repair and adjust mechanical components
• Complete written and oral work orders
• Repair and adjust truck drive lines, engines and any other necessary mechanical components
• Diagnose and determine the nature and extent of repairs
• Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques.
• Other mechanical repair work and duties as required

Required Skills

• Completion of College/vocational technical training
• 1+ years as a heavy duty mechanic apprentice, specifically with drive lines/air systems including schematics and diagnostics
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Ability to communication both verbally and written
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work well under pressure
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Required Experience

• Completion of College/vocational technical training
• 1+ years as a heavy duty mechanic apprentice, specifically with drive lines/air systems including schematics and diagnostics
• Possess a valid driver’s license
