Snap Lake Mine
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
- Conduct pre-shift / post-shift walk-around safety inspections
- Actively participate in daily toolbox meeting and complete daily FLRA card
- Log and report any maintenance concerns with the equipment
- Coordinate activities with other operators
- Complete production reporting and other documentation as required
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
Job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS :
- Previous experience operating Dozers in a road building, mining, and / or industrial setting
- Experience with using GPS in equipment is an asset
- Previous experience with rotational schedules and remote camp life
- Possess and maintain a valid driver license appropriate to the requirements of the vehicle being driven
- Incorporates HS&E concepts into work activities and demonstrates concern for others health & safety (co-workers, clients, and sub trades)
- Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment with good safety awareness
- Experience with radio communications and protocols
