About the Role
The Technical Service Associate will collaborate closely with the Technical Service Team to deliver hands‑on technical assistance, repair, modification, and servicing of advanced medical systems. This is a 12‑month work term running from January to December, offering valuable industry experience in a fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environment.
The successful applicant will :
- Support the electro‑mechanical and optical repair of medical equipment, including component replacement, alignment, and verification to ensure systems perform to specification.
- Troubleshoot system failures by identifying root causes, conducting diagnostic testing, analyzing test results, and performing system and module calibrations to restore full functionality.
- Assist the Technical Service Team with the assembly, repair, and preventive maintenance of laser system modules and subassemblies, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and adherence to guidelines.
- Contribute to equipment modifications required to meet CSA electrical compliance standards, including implementing wiring updates, labeling, and component changes.
- Participate in the complete build, configuration, and setup of full medical systems, ensuring proper installation, integration, and operational readiness prior to quality verification.
- Collect, organize, and maintain technical data, measurements, and statistical information to support troubleshooting, process improvements, and service documentation.
- Prepare comprehensive service reports outlining diagnostics, repairs, and completed activities.
We are seeking a candidate with the following experience and attributes :
