Two () Regular Part Time Registered Practical Nurse opportunities are available in the Emergency Department at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.

These positions are unionized with UNIFOR, Local .

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Current BCLS Certification
• Demonstrated assessment skills, enrolled in or completed Physical Assessment Course
• ACLS
• One () year Emergency or Telemetry experience required (Preference will be given to candidates with current Emergency nursing experience.)
• Two () years Med / Surg experience required
• Competent in IV therapy including initiation
• Demonstrated ability to function effectively in emergency situations.
• Demonstrated clinical assessment and patient / family teaching skills.
• Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated skill and knowledge of Therapy and venipuncture is required.
• Proven attendance record
• Experience in working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
• Demonstrated lifelong learner
• Satisfactory performance and attendance required
• Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
• Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
• Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired

HOURS :

Must be available for all three shifts and weekends, as per department schedule
