REGULAR PART TIME)
Two () Regular Part Time Registered Practical Nurse opportunities are available in the Emergency Department at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
These positions are unionized with UNIFOR, Local .
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Current BCLS Certification
- Demonstrated assessment skills, enrolled in or completed Physical Assessment Course
- ACLS
- One () year Emergency or Telemetry experience required (Preference will be given to candidates with current Emergency nursing experience.)
- Two () years Med / Surg experience required
- Competent in IV therapy including initiation
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in emergency situations.
- Demonstrated clinical assessment and patient / family teaching skills.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated skill and knowledge of Therapy and venipuncture is required.
- Proven attendance record
- Experience in working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
- Demonstrated lifelong learner
- Satisfactory performance and attendance required
- Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
- Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired
HOURS :
Must be available for all three shifts and weekends, as per department schedule
SALARY :
