The Role

AMD is looking for a Technical Lead with strong experience in DevOps, CI / CD, and modern source control practices. This role will provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams, guiding the evolution of our development infrastructure, automation frameworks, and version control ecosystems. You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists, driving strategic improvements, modernization, and best practices across our DevOps and developer productivity landscape.

The Person

The ideal candidate thrives in building and modernizing engineering platforms, bringing strong expertise in source control, automation, and CI / CD pipeline design. This person can confidently lead large‑scale projects, such as a major codebase migration effort while also shaping the long‑term DevOps strategy—ensuring development tooling, workflows, and platforms continue to evolve and scale with the needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert in version control, build pipelines, and release engineering.
• Lead strategic improvements to source control architecture—including branching models, governance, automation, and best practices.
• Drive end‑to‑end planning and execution of multi‑phase engineering initiatives, including scope definition, dependency mapping, risk management, and delivery milestones.
• Provide architectural direction and hands‑on expertise for developer tooling, CI / CD pipelines, automation frameworks.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI / CD pipelines across a variety of technologies and environments.
