Job summary :

Pinecrest Baptist Bible Camp is looking for male and female cabin counsellors from June until August. You will work closely and be accountable to the camp directors and the camp board.

Qualifications :

Living in accordance with the teachings listed in 1 Timothy 3 : 2-13.

• Preferred but not required to have previously attended Bible College or is currently attending a Bible College.
• Preferred but not required experience in Youth Ministry / Youth Groups / Youth Leading.
• Have previous experience as a counsellor, leader, coach, babysitter, or church program volunteer.
• He or she should have good leadership abilities and have an interest & desire for camp ministry.
• Is in good standing and an active part of their home church.
• Ability to work well with children of various ages.
• Must be a mature Christian and firm in their faith.
• Must be 18yrs of age or older.
• Preferred to have a valid driver?s license.

Responsibilities :

• Counsellors will be required to attend pre-camp staff training as well as staff meetings during camps.
• You must exemplify Christ in relationships with campers and staff members.
• Give guidance and leadership to C.I.T.
• Model and guide campers in such a way that he / she will have an opportunity to receive Christ as Savior.
• To demonstrate a Christ-like spirit in social relationships, attitudes, and lifestyle.
• Create within the cabin an atmosphere of group unity and acceptance (i.e. : avoid playing favorites).
• To live with and be responsible for the health, safety, and spiritual welfare of the campers.
• To be involved with and encourage the participation in all aspects of the daily schedule.
• To maintain spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being. (i.e. : taking rest times, etc.)
• Any other task given to them by the Camp Board or Camp Director that relates to camp programming.

Compensation :

Pinecrest Baptist Bible Camp is a short-term mission opportunity. It is a not-for-profit organization that is volunteer based.

This position includes park entry, mileage, accommodation, and all food / activities while at camp.

Length of Employment :

You will be part of the Pinecrest Bible Camp team for 4-6 weeks. Camps usually start at the end of June and run until the first part of August each summer.
