Payroll Administrator
Put your high-volume payroll skills to use in this fast-paced opening with our client, a Canadian-owned mechanical contractor based in Port Coquitlam.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this position is responsible for processing hourly and salary payroll for union and non-union employees across multiple provinces.
Great tech skills and the ability to learn quickly are a must, as you will also be involved in the implementation of the company’s new payroll system.

What You’ll Do
- Validate time reports, audit pay rate exceptions and allocate job costing
- Process payroll and post general ledgers
- Perform benefits administration and payroll reporting
- Payroll reporting
- Prepare and reconcile union dues, fringe benefit remittances, payroll taxes, WCB and EHT payments
- Year-end processes including the preparation of T22000 and T4s
- Other payroll duties as needed
What You Bring
- 1-3 years of full-cycle payroll experience in a high-volume payroll environment
- PCP certified or pursuing certification is an asset
- Unionized payroll experience is an asset
- Strong computer proficiency including advanced Excel skills and experience with payroll systems (ADP WFN preferred)
- Top-tier written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
