Systems Engineering Manager Rail & Transit

AECOM Mississauga is hiring a Systems Engineering Manager to join our growing Transit & Rail Systems team in Canada. This role will support the delivery of major complex rail programs while expanding our technical leadership capacity in anticipation of upcoming projects across the country. This is a newly created position.

This role can be based in Mississauga Markham Calgary or Edmonton.

The Systems Engineering Manager will play a senior leadership role in planning executing and governing Systems Engineering activities across multidisciplinary rail and transit programs.

Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Systems Engineering activities across all project phases (concept design implementation testing commissioning)
• Provide technical direction and leadership to interdisciplinary engineering teams
• Report Systems Engineering progress and risks to senior leadership (Project Technical Manager / Director)
• Interpret and execute complex multi-disciplinary engineering scopes
• Maintain technical coordination with internal and external stakeholders (clients suppliers subcontractors assessors)
• Work independently under broad objectives exercising professional judgment
• Supervise mentor and develop engineers and technical staff
