Plasma Table & Brake Press Operator Nordic Minesteel Technologies

Nordic Minesteel Technologies (NMT) is currently seeking a Machine Operator – Fabrication to join our team in a faced-paced metal fabrication environment. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with fabrication equipment or have advanced computer skills in a manufacturing environment. This role is critical to the successful build of mining equipment by setting up, operating and monitoring the CNC Plasma Table and Brake Press.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor the CNC flame table to cut steel and other metals according to specifications.
• Operate the brake press to bend and form metal parts with precision.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work instructions.
• Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy and conformance to specifications.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any issue or malfunctions.
• Handle raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently.
• Position or align components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
• Prepare work to be accomplished by studying parts list and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures and PPE requirements.
• Assist with other fabrication or production tasks as required.

Required Experience and Skills

Hours of Operation : 03 : 30 p.m. to 02 : 00 a.m.

Shift Premium : $1.00 per hour.
