Job Duties:provide a stimulating learning environment and delivery of course material so each student can experience growth and develop to their potential; provide an educational environment based on the values of diversity, equality and inclusion; identify students individual and collective learning needs for their age and grade; deliver approved curriculum instruction in accordance with student learning and special needs; provide direct support and/or intervention as required to maximize student learning achievement and well-being; meet and work with the multi-disciplinary team of student services professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress; ensure recommended personalized student resources and supports are implemented precisely to maximize student achievement and well-being; provide guidance and instructions to student support staff so they can understand and respond to individual student strengths and needs; use various assessment tools to evaluate and communicate student progress; meet with parents or guardians regarding the student’s learning status; attend meetings, seminars and in-service training sessions as required; and serve as role model for students.
