Our client is seeking for an experienced Contracts Specialist to join their team on a long-term contract basis in Edmonton, Alberta. This position supports procurement and contract management activities, ensures compliance with organizational standards, and strengthens supplier relationships within the utilities and infrastructure sector.

Responsibilities :

Draft, review, and administer contracts and procurement documents.
Analyze supplier responses and support pricing, delivery, and performance negotiations.
Manage contract amendments and resolve contractual issues.
Apply appropriate contract language based on risk analysis and project requirements.
Ensure compliance with legal, cybersecurity, insurance, tax, and organizational standards.
Improve contract templates, procurement processes, and contract administration efficiency.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project objectives.

Requirements :

Proficient in CRM and ERP systems (including Great Plains and IBM AS / 400).

Strong vendor management, purchasing, and negotiation expertise.

Experienced in inventory control, materials handling, and procurement workflows.

Skilled in contract analysis, compliance, and issue resolution.

Highly organized with strong communication and documentation skills.

Proven at identifying and implementing process improvements.
