Schedule

Patient care

As a member of our interprofessional team, you will work closely with Plastic Surgeons, evidence-based Technologists, the Fracture Clinic, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Wound Care Nurses in providing patient care within the Plastic Clinic. As a member of this team, you will also work collaboratively with General Surgeons, and Ophthalmologists to provide patient care within the Minor Surgery Clinic. 48_Performance Created with Sketch.

Qualifications

Certificate in Practical nursing required. Post-graduate certificates in aseptic procedures (Perioperative Certificate), physical assessment and medications is required. Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses. Current BCLS certification. Minimum 2 years' recent experience working in an operating room setting as a scrub nurse. Minimum of 2 years' recent experience, within the past year, in an ambulatory care setting including Plastics, Fracture and minor procedures. 48_Artificial Intelligence Created with Sketch.

Knowledge

Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic technique, completion of an operating room course. Demonstrated knowledge of patient education. Demonstrated knowledge of suture removal, dressing changes and assisting with minor procedures is required. Proficient computer skills. 48_Creative Created with Sketch.

Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards.
