Title : Mental Health & Wellness Outreach, Clinical Counsellor
Salary : $74,679 $88,549 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract : Permanent
Hours : 37.5 Hours, Monday Friday (core hours 9am 3pm)
Location : Tsawout-East Saanich, Vancouver Island
Bargaining Unit : PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada)
About the role
As Mental Health & Wellness Outreach, Clinical Counsellor, you will provide advanced level expertise in community-based clinical services specific to crisis and trauma response with communities from across the Vancouver Island Region.
As a valued part of the Hub and Spoke based teamlet, this position provides mental wellness counselling services for crisis and trauma incidents in community.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have / be
- A Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology or a relevant human services field
- Up to date registration and in good standing with professional regulatory body
- Advanced training in threat / risk assessment and / or trauma response
- 5 to 7 years of experience working with complex social systems or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- Minimum of 2 years working with threat / risk and trauma assessment, intervention and post-vention
- Current valid B.C. driver’s license and willingness to submit a driver’s abstract

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours.
As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021.
We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
