Description

Our government client is seeking a specialist in policy development with an emphasis in pharmacetutical analysis.

Duties

  • Assist in the development of requirements for mandatory reporting under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.
  • Assist in the development of methodology for leading and managing surveillance activities including business process analyses and methods for coordination with other departments and stakeholders
  • Undertake analysis of incidents and complaints to assess the natures of risks and potential actions that are warranted
  • Assist in testing procedures regarding the cosmetics notification process, and new OLCNS (Cosmos) system positioning the Division to draw on risk assessment and toxicology expertise from within the Risk Assessment Bureau (RAB).

Qualifications

  • Scientific research using quantitative and qualitative methodologies
  • Conducting statistical analysis of scientific information, specifically health care and pharmaceutical data
  • Compiling and formulating data from a variety of sources including raw data files
  • Managing large datasets for use by a variety of end-users
  • Making recommendations to senior officials based on analysis of scientific data
  • Writing for a variety of audiences
