The main responsibility of this position is to assist the QC Lead Inspector with on‑going production inspections and maintain related documentation according to the Company’s and Department’s standards and policies. The secondary responsibility is to perform garment repairs or sewing assignments when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Co‑ordinate with QC Lead Inspector and Receiving team delivery of all requested for inspection garments and return of products after inspection process is completed
- Measure all selected size inspection items according to style sizing specifications and record all findings. Identify all out of tolerance measurements
- Perform inspection of garment’s workmanship and record all noticeable defects on the inspection sheet
- Communicate to the QC Lead Inspector and Quality Control Manager all workmanship and size discrepancies that do not attain full standards
- Perform repairs / cleaning of affected bulk garments prior to returning them back to stock
- Perform repacking of all inspected garments
Assist with additional bulk inspections and washing process on bulk shipments when required
Perform customers’ repairs and other sewing projects when requiredKeep accurate inventory records of all zippers and trimsKeep an accurate inventory of sewing suppliesSubmit requests for sewing suppliesPerform other related tasks as assigned within the departmentQualifications
High School DiplomaCertificate course in Fashion Design / Garment Construction is an asset.5+ years of experience in a related industry and in operating industrial sewing machines.Solid knowledge about garment construction, trims, fabric, and material specifics etc.Good English communication skillsExceptional attention to detailsPositive attitude and upbeat personality, flexibility.Works well in a team environment.Ability to multi‑task, prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.Must be organized with can do attitude.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.Additional Information
