DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Offering exceptional customer service at our counter and over the phoneResponding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders in the systemSourcing materials for customers when currently not in stockDeveloping and maintaining positive customer relationshipsHandling returns as requiredKeeping counter and sales area cleanMerchandising and showcasing productContacting current customers and identifying new products and potential up-sellingMaintaining knowledge base on current products and learning about new productsProviding product information, pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotesEnsuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and overall serviceWorking closely with others to ensure customer needs are metOther duties as requiredSKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Minimum grade 12 education requiredMinimum of two years sales experience (counter sales, inside sales or outside sales) requiredPost-Secondary courses in Plumbing, HVAC, or Electrical an assetSkilled in serving and negotiating with institutional and industrial purchasers, plumbing or electrical contractors, and the publicKnowledge of the Plumbing, HVAC and / or Electrical industry or a background in plumbing and / or products requiredFinal candidates will be required to undergo an assessment and security screening , including a criminal record check. Employment is subject to screening completion that is satisfactory to Bartle & Gibson.
