Finance Analyst - Construction

Position Overview

As a Finance Analyst, you will support multiple projects in accounting and finance-related functions. You will serve as a trusted advisor to operations managers and executive management. This position requires strong analytical skills, a relentless ambition for continuous improvement, and polished technical and soft skills.

District Overview

McNally International is a privately owned heavy construction company that specializes in marine and tunnelling construction. McNally is recognized as Canada's leading Tunnel Contractor, with experience building tunnels with a wide range of tunneling methods, for end uses including utilities (water, sewer, steam, power transmission) and transportation (subways, traffic pedestrian walkways). Marine projects generally include docks, piers, wharfs, pipelines, dredging, shore protection, and environmental remediation.

Location

This role is based on-site at one of the following office locations : West Vaughan (ON) or Hamilton (ON).

Requirements

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in both office and field environments and must be able to commute to either the office or project site located in the city of employment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and effectively communicate financial results of projects to management.
• Earn trust, credibility, and buy-in of processes from the Operations team to create better cohesion and clear communication within the organization.
• Develop and maintain budget and cost reports and earned value analyses.
• Assist in the tracking of project change orders and development of projections.
• Assist project team with the development of project procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement throughout the organization and be a proponent for positive change.
• Effectively use the right data, reports, and tools for risk analysis and benchmarking.
• Assist in client billing and revenue collection.
• Interface with project teams and the finance team to ensure financial accuracy and project success.

Base Compensation

$87,000 / yr - $91,000 / yr (actual compensation is subject to variation).
