Engineering System Specialist - OTA

The Engineering System Specialist - OTA works within the Quality Engineering department at the Honda Canada National Office (HCI). The responsibilities of this position include the planning, validation, deployment, and post-launch monitoring of Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates for Honda and Acura vehicles in the Canadian market. This role supports OTA-related quality investigations and identifies market issues through data analysis, warranty review, and field investigation activities. The purpose of these activities is to ensure continuous quality improvement for Honda products in the Canadian automotive market.RESPONSIBILITIES Provide technical support to various groups within Honda Canada including Tech Line, Field Engineering Specialists, Customer Relations, Product Planning, Publications, Sales, Advertising, IT, Training, and Legal.QUALIFICATIONS 3 years minimum of automotive or related experience combined with strong project management capability.Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, CAN communication, wiring diagrams, and diagnostics.Demonstrated hands-on experience with vehicle repair / problem diagnosis from prior work experience or willingness to learn.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in preparing technical documents. Experience in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.Must have strong analytical, planning, organization, and strategic skills. Must be a self-starter with ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external affiliates.Proven interest and ability to learn new vehicle technologies.The salary range for this position is $86,900- $108,600 CAD annually. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of job-related factors, including education, experience, knowledge, and skill set.
