The work you do :

This is a permanent, full-time role. As someone who is passionate about supporting our Vancity IT Services team to thrive and bring their full selves to work everyday you will :

  • Partner with Executive leadership teams in IT Services to design, implement and lead the strategic people plan for their divisions and a roadmap to deliver on key organizational competencies
  • Partner with the People Analytics team to leverage key data to provide key insights for the development of short and long-term strategies with the goal of enhancing the employee experience at Vancity
  • Support the various lines of business to design organizational structures and processes which enable agility, innovation, and creativity
  • Support leaders to create work environments where diverse backgrounds, culture and attributes are celebrated through collaboration with experts and stakeholders in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Reconciliation
  • Manage change for organizational restructures within the divisions and partner with enterprise change as needed for cross divisional work
  • Partner with Equity & People leadership and centers of excellence on program design to support organization wide deliverables.
  • Ensure Equity and People Leadership is informed of major initiatives impacting our people and programs within lines of business
  • In partnership with the Financial Planning & Analysis department to manage annual position planning and budget maintenance
  • Develop Consultant talent through mentorship and exposure to key initiatives
  • Collaborate with all other functions and teams of the Equity and People division to ensure the right information is shared at the right time for successful implementation of key initiatives and communication

You are a(n) :

  • Strategic partner you deeply understand the business strategy and how to align HR strategies with the overall business goals of the IT department.
  • Technical Acumen : Understanding of IT industry trends, technologies, and the specific needs of IT professionals.
  • Effective and empathetic communicator you have exceptional communication and listening skills to act as a resource for your specialized area, provide advice and coaching.
  • Problem Solver & Decision Maker you identify challenges, diagnose issues, and develop innovative solutions for the business.
  • Curious Analytical Researcher you know how to assess and recommend courses of action on industry, political and economic trends.

You assess risks or opportunities that may affect your designated business groups.

Empathic Leader you develop talent through a lens of curiosity, leaning into strengths and removing barriers

You have :

  • Robust experience providing strategic support and coaching to Executive level leaders
  • Experience providing HR Business Partner level support to IT teams and related technical groups
  • Experience influencing across organizations, engaging stakeholder to drive transformational change
  • Expertise in organizational design within an enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated success implementing programs which have positively impacted culture and employee experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally within large HR team
  • Experience leading collective bargaining process is an asset

You report to :

This role reports into the Director, People Consulting and works alongside a team of Equity and People professionals in Business Partner and Consultant roles supporting dedicated areas of the business.

The salary range for the role is $102,200 to $153,200 and a candidate’s offer is likely to be up to the mid-point of the role ($127,700) .

The upper half of the salary range is typically reserved for individuals who have demonstrated consistent strong performance in the role and possess a high level of job knowledge and skill.
