Job Description

We currently have an opening for an Electrical Instrumentation & Controls Engineer in our Markham office. The role involves working with a dynamic team in a collaborative environment, preferably based out of Markham, with collaboration across our offices in Niagara-on-the-Lake and Kitchener.

Role and Responsibilities :

• Lead electrical, instrumentation, and controls design for multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience in water & wastewater industry is an asset.
• Design electrical power distribution systems (27.6kV, 14.8kV, 5kV, 600V) : transformers, switchgear, panel boards, cabling systems.
• Perform power system studies (load flow, ground grid, short circuit, arc flash, coordination).
• Design Motor Control Centres (MCCs), motor control schematics, security, fire alarm, and lighting systems.
• Design SCADA systems (GE iFix), control systems (Emerson RX3i, Allen Bradley ControlLogix), including panels and communication networks.
• Prepare contract drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Prepare engineering reports and technical memos.
• Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning.
• Support construction activities, review shop drawings, and respond to RFIs.
• Assist in proposal development with technical input.
