Haztech has an immediate opening for aqualified CSO to join our team starting February 14th inSaskatchewan. This individual must be a qualifiedCSO.
RoleDescription
This role will develop andeffectively implement policies and procedures for the project asrelated to health and safety which will guide the site in regardsto safety.
The role will actively monitor andverify processes is in place to drive timely completion of keyactivities for the project and verify deviations or exceptedperformance and communicate to sitemanagement.
The duties will include but not belimited to managing review guidance documents and site specificpolicies / procedures and ensure operations complies with siterequirements.
The successful candidate will provide support / guidance during planning meetings and operations meetings to ensurerisks are adequately identified and controlled to the level ofsafety requirements and requirements are being complied with indesign and execution.
Site safety supervision of operations regularinspections of worksite to ensure compliance and riskidentification / control audits of Safe Work Permits Tool Box Talksand other permits as required for high hazard tasks and assist withincident reporting / investigations / corrective actions are partof the responsibilities as well.
The goal with this role is toconsult internal and external required regulations and promote aproactive safety culture at all levels of the organization withheavy focus on employee engagement towards the safetyprogram.
Qualifications Skills& Competencies
- CSOdesignation
- Minimum 2 years safetyexperience
- Experience with working atheights confined space excavation hotwork lockout / tagout andscaffolding
- Experience providing sitesafety supervision
- Proficient computerskills in Microsoft Office
- Ability to workautonomously and under pressure
- Validdriver’s license and criminal record clearance
- Professionally represent Haztech and provideexceptional service to allclients
