Salary range : $110,000-$140,000 / yr (US Dollars)

Location : Home based, remote-only- Can live anywhere in Canada

A day in the life of this role :

As a Senior Exploration Geologist, you will work closely with our Data Science team in guiding, assessing and validating the generation and quality of our high probability targets.

This VerAI AI / ML Targeting Platform is at the core of our innovation, and strong Geoscience inputs are a critical part of our ability to generate and commercialize our high-quality AI Targets that represent the location of concealed economic mineral deposits.

Using your Geoscience background and data-drive mindset, you will help the company evaluate new areas of interest and new projects.

You will help generate high quality Geoscientific data to be used as input for the Targeting Platform, and you will then help validate (both desktop and through leading field expeditions) the generated targets.

You will have a critical role in building a compelling Geoscientific story and presenting it to our partners. Your passion is being hands-on and you are not afraid of getting dirty with new data sets, technologies, or methodologies.

You love collaborating with different teams and domains.

You will help VerAI maintain a technological leadership in its domain and will represent us in the different Geoscience communities and forums.

What we need from you :

• MSc Degree in relevant Geoscience discipline from an accredited institution
• 8-12 years of relevant experience in leading mineral exploration and development of greenfield targeting teams, from generative grassroots work through drill-testing campaigns.
• Strong multi-commodity and multi-jurisdiction geoscience targeting background, experienced with the geological manifestations of Cu, Mo, Ni, Zn, Li, Ag, Au, and REE systems in the Americas.
• Comprehensive understanding of the mineral discovery challenge, specifically under covered terrain, mineral deposit geology, and mineral system fundamentals.
• Demonstrated project management organization skills, including creating and implementing strategy, construction of a work plan and construction and management of a budget, and team leadership.
• Able to lead integrated technical discussions that fit the audience's professional background and role.
• Demonstrated excellent technical written, verbal, and presentation communication skills in English.
• Experienced in presenting mineral projects clearly and compellingly to different audiences, including non-technical ones.

A passionate "Storyteller".

• Extensive hands-on experience in creating geospatial materials for marketing purposes.
• Experience leading and executing field operations, including logistics preparations with high-standard and non-compromise safety requirements.
• Experience and highly skilled in field analysis, mapping, sampling, documentation, and reporting.
• Experience utilizing advisors and consultants and integrating their knowledge into comprehensive products.
• Experience in identifying and analyzing geoscientific and geophysics datasets across various scales.
• Extensive hands-on GIS experience (Preferably QGIS)
