Our client is a non-profit organization with the mandate of providing services for people with a developmental disability.
This is a contract role. Healthcare experience is a must have. Human Resources Generalist delivers professional and administrative services in multiple Human Resources functions in a multi-site environment.
These functions includes Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, Health & Safety, HRIS expertise, Policy implementation / interpretation, HR metrics and HR records management, general day-to-day HR assistance and a variety of special projects.
The Human Resources Generalist also supports the Director, Human Resources in all other operational human resources matters and in the delivery of the Human Resources strategy which includes organizational effectiveness, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement and other human resources priorities. Responsibilities :
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding : Oversee full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, and reference checks.
Manage onboarding processes and new employee orientations. Conduct exit and stay interviews, providing annual reports and recommendations.
Labor Relations : Support legal counsel on labor matters, conduct research for employee relations, assist in grievance processing, and maintain collective agreement archives.
Training & Development : Maintain employee training records and ensure compliance with training requirements.
Job Evaluation & Compensation : Manage salary administration, job evaluations, and maintain up-to-date job descriptions and salary ranges.
HR Administration : Oversee HR records and files, develop new HR policies, and support performance management and compliance processes.
Health & Safety : Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, support WSIB processes, and participate in safety committees and training. Qualifications :
University degree in Human Resources or Business; CHRP / CHRL designation preferred.
2-5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a non-profit or healthcare setting.
Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR practices.
Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
Advanced knowledge of HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications. Additional Skills :
