Your Role In Supporting Our Members

As a Data Engineer , you will design and develop scalable data solutions, build efficient data pipelines, and ensure high-quality data integrations to support strategic business initiatives. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Vancity’s Data Platform. We’re looking for a technology-savvy, results-driven individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about data innovation.

This is a full-time, permanent role based at the Vancity head office and will report directly to the Manager, Data Engineering . Our head office is based in Vancouver, but we are open to candidates in BC and Ontario. While this position is for an existing vacancy and provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands when needed.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Designing and building efficient and reliable data pipelines, cleansing and normalizing diverse datasets for analytics
• Troubleshooting and resolving problems in data services that support business and application systems, providing solutions to proactively prevent issues
• Creating and managing knowledge bases, access controls, deployment pipeline architecture and infrastructure related to the Data Platform
• Driving transformation by continuously automating existing processes, optimizing for efficiency and data quality, and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability
• Representing the team as a subject matter expert for strategic projects and contributing to end-to-end data architecture solutions

What You’ll Earn

This role offers a salary range of $101,200 to $125,000 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
