Position Title : Senior Project Quality Manager
Purpose :
We are currently looking for a Senior Project Quality Manager to join our team in Markham, Ontario. The successful candidate is a key member of our project delivery team, acting as project quality focal, pulling together engineering quality assurance, supplier quality and inspection services and construction quality assurance / quality control activities.
Responsibilities :
- Liaise with office and project management as the Quality focal point for all aspects of EPCM and EPC project delivery.
- Build relationships with client counterparts, client operational and project personnel.
- Coordinate and conduct project assessments and surveillances to ensure compliance with Worley, client, and contractual requirements.
- Promote and monitor adherence to company, client, and legislative requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate functional and project risk and lessons learned workshops, reviews, and discussions.
- Communicate relevant and timely assurance information to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Assist projects and offices to understand assurance requirements.
- Assist offices to maintain quality management systems fit for ISO 9001 certification.
- Develop and maintain design quality manuals, policies, and procedures in conformance with the contract requirements.
- Liaise with the project manager during subcontractor and or supplier evaluation to establish the suitability of subcontractor Quality management practices.
- Provide advice and support including investigations into unplanned quality events.
- Ensure follow-up on any identified non-conformities, and client complaints by conducting investigations, developing corrections and identify areas for improvement.
- Substantiate the quality conformance of project deliverables and services during the project lifecycle.
- Manage, train and coach other quality assurance staff, and other project members when necessary.
- Support Worley in creating a more sustainable world and a highly inclusive work environment.
What you will bring
Technical and Industry Experience :
- Senior level Quality Assurance experience combined with multiple years of management or leadership experience required.
- A combination of operations, quality, construction, or project experience preferred.
- Strong, demonstrable knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
- Experience with project delivery procedures and processes.
- Experience in EPCM projects in the execution phase, from the commencement of detailed engineering, coordination of procurement activities and management of construction contracts.
- Demonstrated experience applying lessons learned and adopting innovative solutions for continual improvement.
- Ability to effectively conduct different types of audits in a professional, ethical, and objective manner.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and determine course of action.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with programs used for data gathering, analysis and reports (., spreadsheets, databases, word processing, .
- ISO 9001 training and experience.
- Quality Assurance training.
- Total Quality Management training.
- Understanding of commercial and strategic business drivers.
- Experience with continual improvement programs (Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean, Total Quality Management, .
- Experience in workshop facilitation, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
- Excellent people management skills such as leadership, team, interpersonal, coaching, mentoring and supervisory skills.
Must be able to build, motivate, develop, and manage an effective team. Able to effectively manage and resolve conflict between individuals and / or groups.
Available for occasional travel to Worley offices and project sites within Eastern Canada.
Education Qualifications, Accreditation, Training :
Required :
- An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered where appropriate.
- Professional Designation Preferred, Certified Engineering Technologist (CET), P. Eng or equivalent considered an asset.
