As a Senior Communications Manager you will be a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the Senior Vice-president (SVP) of Retirement & Benefits Solutions (RBS) in TELUS Health.
With nearly 2,000 team members across Canada and the , our RBS team provides comprehensive support for pension and benefits administration across a diverse client base, encompassing corporations, businesses, government organizations, and multi-employer plans.
In partnership with the SVP and RBS leadership team, you’ll be responsible for creating and executing strategic integrated communications that enhance engagement, support our business strategy and elevate our TELUS Health brand.
Specifically, you will :
- Build, maintain and execute a communications plan that amplifies team engagement, complements business strategy and builds advocacy
- Identify and implement effective communications strategies and engaging content that enables leaders and team members across the organization to deliver on TELUS Health’s business objectives
- Deliver proactive and reactive communications : team-wide emails, speeches, talk-notes, organizational changes, presentations for town-halls or speaking engagements, and messaging for sensitive issues
- Partner closely with our People & Culture team to deliver internal programs that drive culture and engagement, and our Public Relations colleagues to support executive profiling opportunities that help build the SVP’s presence in the market while supporting the goals of our business.
- Develop content and grow our SVP’s profile on social media
Qualifications
You are :
- An exceptional storyteller and writer with a proven expertise in writing compelling strategic internal communications, speeches and other materials for senior leaders
- An expert at adapting writing styles and tailoring content for different audiences and channels
- Adept at building trusted partnerships with senior leaders and collaborating successfully with various stakeholder groups
- A strategic and creative thinker, with the demonstrated ability to embrace change in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Organized, strategic and able to lead multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
- Agile and driven to scrutinize existing methods of working using insights and data
- Proactive and a proven self-starter
- A quick learner and comfortable using different digital collaboration and work tools (, Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite)
- A keen observer of the general business environment, trends, competitive and regulatory issues and current affairs as they may relate to the pensions and benefits industry and TELUS Health
You have :
- Minimum of seven years’ progressive experience working in corporate communications / internal communications within an entrepreneurial, corporate environment
- University degree and / or post graduate certificate in an accredited public relations, communications, marketing or journalism designation or extensive related business experience in a senior communications or marketing communications role
- Proven success in strategic use of communications to positively impact culture and business results, with a keen focus on team member engagement
- Bilingual in English and French (oral and written) is an asset
- Familiarity with the healthcare and health technology sector an asset
