About the role

Reporting to the Supervisor, Process Maintenance, the Pipefitter is responsible for installing and maintaining piping systems at our Greenhills Operation. Schedule : This is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 straight day shift schedule. Come experience what work life balance is all about! The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Elkford, B.C is necessary.

In this role you will

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
• Fabricate and install piping arrangements for slurry, water, and refuse lines ranging from 2" to 36"
• Diagnose piping system failures in the processing facility
• Disassemble and reassemble system components
• Weld, cement, and thread joints to join pipes using soldering and welding equipment
• Maintain, create and record work order records
• In certain components of this role, it is mandatory to wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal.
