Position Overview :

Seeking an experienced Housekeeper for a semi-formal residence located in the Forest Hill area of Toronto. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence.

Rooms to be cleaned alternate each day. This position is full-time, live-out. Monday Friday, 10am 6pm with some flexibility required to work the occasional evening or weekend with notice.

Candidate Profile :

You are an experienced and knowledgeable housekeeping professional with excellent housekeeping and laundry skills who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home.

You know how to handle and care for high-end finishes, furnishings / lighting. You communicate well and are comfortable working independently the majority of the time.

You understand a home is a living environment, not just a workplace, and can easily adjust your daily schedule to accommodate activities in the residence.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Daily housekeeping to include making beds, dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, washing floors
• Care of fine furnishings, fixtures, fabrics, finishes, and surfaces
• Inventory management of the residence including cleaning products and toiletries in conjunction with the House Manager
• Regular laundry and ironing
• Trash and recycling management
• Weekly clean of patio furniture during the summer months
• Wardrobe management, packing and unpacking
• Supervise trades and contractors as needed
• Ensure household security protocols are followed
• Answering the door, receive packages
• Light pet care as required from time to time
• Sort and dispose of recycling, compost, and garbage correctly
• Errands and other tasks as needed

Applicant Qualities :

• Excellent English communication skills and professional personal presentation
• Comfortable reaching high spaces using a house ladder
• Must be comfortable lifting 30 pounds
• Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces
• Must maintain privacy and confidentiality always, exercising diplomacy, discretion and respecting appropriate boundaries
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Requirements

Covid 19 Considerations :

In order to maintain the health and safety of the workplace, this position will require a fully vaccinated candidate as a condition of employment.

Proof of vaccination will be required by the candidate before their start date. Proof means documentation verifying receipt of a vaccination series approved by Health Canada.
