The opportunity

We are seeking a Data Governance Manager for our AI & Data practice team. This role is based in Vancouver, requiring presence at client offices. The candidate will lead strategic data governance initiatives, ensuring robust frameworks and compliance across enterprise data landscapes.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data governance frameworks, processes, and operating models.
  • Lead deployment and integration of Data Governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica DQ, and / or Ataccama.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to define data domains, critical data elements, and stewardship models.
  • Establish and monitor data quality programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and compliance standards.
  • Provide thought leadership on data governance best practices and emerging trends.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and change management for governance adoption across the organization.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate governance principles into actionable processes and technology solutions.
  • Deep understanding of data architecture, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
  • To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Hands-on experience designing governance frameworks and operating models.
  • Strong knowledge of data domains, critical data frameworks, and enterprise data architecture.
  • Experience in establishing and managing data quality programs.
  • Hands‑on experience designing governance workflows, data catalog organization, policy implementations, API connectors with data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, SAP and data quality rule development and execution.
  • Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience in regulatory compliance and risk management related to data governance.
  • Background in consulting or advisory roles for large‑scale data programs.
  • Knowledge of cloud data platforms and integration with governance tools.
