POSITION : REGISTERED NURSE

Primary Site : Stratford

Integrated Stroke Unit / Telemetry (Acute Stroke, Stroke Rehabilitation)

Regular Part-Time B* x2

Part-time B commitment : hours in a 2 week period

Shifts : 12-hour shifts, Days and Nights, 7 day / week coverage, may be subject to change)

REPORTS TO : Manager, Critical Care, Telemetry / ISU and Cardiorespiratory

DATE REQUIRED : As soon as possible

SALARY : $ to $ per hour

QUALIFICATIONS :

Current registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario

EXPERIENCE :

• Recent clinical experience (minimum two years) in Stroke Care / Rehabilitation preferred
• Recent / related courses, in-services in Stroke Care / Rehabilitation nursing preferred

SKILLS / ABILITIES :

• Ability to plan, organize and problem solve
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Excellent physical assessment skills
• Ability to understand and interpret typical and atypical telemetry and cardiac monitoring preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS (to be completed within 3 months of hire) :

• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Recent Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course or equivalent (current experience)
• Recent 12 lead ECG interpretation course, or equivalent (current experience)

Successful applicants who have not yet been employed as a nurse within Ontario will be eligible to receive a commitment bonus of $25,000, in exchange for a 2 year commitment of service
