Position Overview
The Supply Chain Coordinator supports the Store Development team by overseeing logistics, sourcing support, supplier coordination, and budget tracking for materials, fixtures, and equipment used in new store openings and facilities works. This role ensures that all items move through the supply chain accurately, efficiently, and within budget. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with internal teams, vendors, and third-party logistics providers.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing Support
- Manage sample shipping and receiving , ensuring accurate intake, tracking, and timely distribution to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain organized documentation for all sample materials used in sourcing and vendor evaluation.
Buying Support
Assist the Procurement Manager during the buying process by estimating logistics and freight costs for materials, fixtures, and equipment.Provide supporting data on delivery timelines, cost considerations, and risk factors to inform sourcing decisions.Logistics Coordination
Schedule and coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners to meet project timelines.Develop and maintain delivery plans for domestic and international shipments, ensuring on-time arrival to stores, job sites, and warehouses.Manage shipping costs by reviewing quotes, monitoring spend, and identifying efficiencies.Track and maintain accurate inventory records across warehouses and 3PL partners.Serve as the day-to-day contact for the company’s turnkey 3PL , ensuring performance meets expectations and SLAs.Monitor, track, and report delivery issues or exceptions to internal stakeholders and escalate concerns as necessary.Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and logistics partners to resolve delays or operational challenges.Budget Management
Track, analyze, and report overseas freight, final-mile delivery, and storage costs against project and departmental budgets.Identify cost variances and support the Procurement Manager in developing cost-saving opportunities.Prepare regular budget and cost tracking summaries for leadership and project teams.Qualifications
Experience in tandem with education in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations, or related field; equivalent experience also considered.1-3 years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain coordination, procurement, or related fields. Retail or construction-related experience is a plus.Working knowledge of international shipping, freight forwarding, 3PL operations, and inventory management .Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools; experience with ERP, inventory, or project management systems preferred.Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both internal teams and external partners.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.Analytical mindset with strong cost awareness and problem-solving abilities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
