HIRING Farm Manager – Organic Livestock & Mixed Farm

PICTON, ONTARIO

Edwin County Farms is a family-owned, Ontario-based working farm producing certified organic beef, maple syrup, heritage grains (wheat and spelt), and organic produce. The farm supplies food directly to The Royal Hotel and is committed to responsible land stewardship, animal welfare, and supporting local farm-to-table food systems.

The Role

This is a hands-on Farm Manager role suited to an experienced Ontario cattle farmer who is comfortable running a diversified operation. You will oversee day-to-day farm operations while working closely with the owners and a small on-site team. This is not a desk job—practical decision-making and time in the field are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

Beef & Livestock

• Lead the organic beef program in collaboration with the livestock manager
• Pasture and feed planning suited to Ontario conditions
• Animal health, herd improvement, and welfare
• Coordinate slaughter and delivery to The Royal Hotel
• Support organic certification records (administrative support provided)
