Our client, a top 5 bank, is looking for a Bilingual Operations Officer for a 6 month contract in Saint John. This is a hybrid role, onsite twice a week.
There is a high possibility of contract extension and conversion to full time opportunity.
Pay rate : $25.00 / Hour
Working Hours : Monday-Friday Core Business Hours 9-5

Responsibilities
As a Bilingual Operations Officer, your duties will include but not limited to :
Executing transactions accurately, on time and in line with established guidelines / procedures while adhering to formal or informal Service Level Agreement(s) (SLAs)
Refering or escalating processing or operational issues as needed based on a solid understanding of the issue, connecting with the appropriate function / partner to facilitate resolution and ensure that service quality is maintained
Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery
Supporting partners with incoming transactions, validating information as needed to perform adjustments within authority levels
Interacting with partners by responding to requests in an effective and timely manner
Prioritizing and managing own workload to meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements for service and productivity
Understanding internal and industry regulations and trends, remain informed of emerging issues and apply appropriate due diligence in adherence with operating policies / procedures
Managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate
Supporting the timely and accurate completion of business processes
Reviewing internal processes / activities and provide ideas for process improvement
Investigating and escalating non-standard or high-risk activities as appropriate
Adhering to enterprise frameworks and methodologies that relate to operations activities for own area (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering, Business Continuity Management)
Complying with Bank Code of Conduct
Participating fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure the timely communication of issues / points of interest
Supporting the team by actively building operations / business services knowledge, think critically about processes and opportunities for improvement, share ideas and transfer knowledge within the team and business unit
Participating in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within own team
Keeping others informed and up to date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities
Contributing to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce
Acting as a brand ambassador for the Shared Services department and the bank, both internally and / or externally
Working within generally defined guidelines, accountable for completing a range of transactions or activities that involve single to multiple steps and several systems or applications characterized by a combination of manual and automated processes
Identifying issues and resolves or escalates internally as required (within a prescribed set of parameters / rules)
Interacting with internal partners and external customers
Providing a broad range of operational support and performs general to specialized transactions and / or other processing activities for own Operations and Business Services function
Qualifications
