Position Summary
We’re looking for a Sales Associate who’s curious, proactive, and has an entrepreneurial mindset. You’ll work directly with the Sales Manager and own your own accounts – building relationships, understanding customer needs, and coordinating with engineering, production, and supply chain to deliver the right solutions.
It’s not a “read a script and make 100 calls” type of role. You’ll be involved in quoting, follow‑ups, coordinating prototypes, and supporting customer visits. Every project and customer is different, so if you like taking initiative and seeing your work make a real impact, you’ll enjoy this role.
Key Responsibilities
Account Ownership & Customer Support
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, acting as a primary point of contact for day‑to‑day communication.
- Build strong, long‑term relationships by understanding customer applications, challenges, and priorities.
- Preparing and sending quotes, follow up with customers, and record key details in the CRM.
- Support the Sales Manager with proposals and negotiations.
Problem Solving & Coordination
Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Purchasing to help customers solve real problems (lead time, design tweaks, cost, etc.).Help troubleshoot issues like delivery delays, design clarifications, and quality concerns by coordinating internally and keeping customers informed.Keep customer information, activities, and opportunities up to date in our systems.Help prepare basic sales reports, forecasts, and follow‑up lists.Bring forward ideas to improve how we communicate with customers, manage accounts, and use our tools.Learn the basics of our products, manufacturing processes, and industry so you can add real value in conversations while not pretending to know what you don’t.Qualifications
Required
1+ year of experience in sales, account management, or customer‑facing role (B2B preferred, but not mandatory).Key character traits we’re looking for : empathetic, accommodating, enjoys problem‑solving, thrives in a chaotic environment, and has a good sense of humour.Strong communication skills (clear writing, professional email etiquette, and comfortable on the phone / Teams).Proven ability to stay organized : managing multiple customers and / or projects with grace.Entrepreneurial mindset : proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking initiative without being micromanaged.Comfortable contributing to a small, fast‑growing team with shifting priorities.Nice to Have
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, industrial sales, or technical products.Familiarity with CRM systems.Basic understanding of B2B sales cycles (quotes → prototypes → production orders).What This Role Is Really Like
