We are looking for Senior Citrix Expert to work with one of our clients, an international bank based in Montreal.

CONTEXT AND ROLE OBJECTIVES :

Within a global technology services department, this role focuses on managing IT infrastructures for a large international organization. The primary objective is to ensure secure and reliable infrastructures that support business needs. This includes hosting applications, providing cloud solutions, managing connectivity, and enabling collaborative digital tools, while driving digital transformation initiatives.

The team specializing in digital workplace services is dedicated to delivering workstation solutions (physical, virtual, mobile), unified communication services (email, telephony, video conferencing), collaboration tools, and associated technical services (directory management, multi-factor authentication, software development etc.).

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES :

The role involves managing Citrix environments globally, with a strong focus on application virtualization using Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop. You will also contribute to support activities, solution design, and the continuous improvement of services.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES :

  • Advanced Technical Expertise : Act as a senior expert in managing and evolving Citrix environments.
  • Global Support : Provide Level 3 (L3) support for Citrix infrastructures in collaboration with globally distributed technical teams.
  • Solution Design and Implementation : Contribute to the design and deployment of technical solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Incident Resolution : Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to application performance and connectivity.
  • Change Management : Ensure all changes comply with established processes, maintaining robust risk management practices.
  • Documentation and Best Practices : Develop and update operational procedures in coordination with international teams.
  • Continuous Improvement : Participate in architecture reviews and drive initiatives to optimize the infrastructure.
  • Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing : Guide and support team members in their technical development.
  • On-call Support : Be available for on-call rotations, including after-hours and weekend coverage when required.

PROFILE :

Essential Skills and Experience :

  • Citrix Expertise : At least 5+ years of experience managing and supporting Citrix infrastructures (XenApp and XenDesktop 19.12).
  • Advanced IT Support : A minimum of 5+ years of Level 3 infrastructure support, with a focus on Citrix and related technologies.
  • Scripting and Automation : At least 2+ years of experience with scripting (PowerShell, VBScript, CMD) and automation processes.
  • Windows Server Knowledge : Minimum 3+ years of experience with Windows Server (2012, 2016); experience with Server 2016 & 2019 is a plus.
  • XenDesktop Expertise : Proven experience with XenDesktop installation and maintenance.
  • Workspace Management Tools : Experience managing Ivanti workspace management solutions.
  • Netscaler Administration : Familiarity with Netscaler (12.1) is a strong advantage.
  • Broad IT Knowledge : Exposure to Active Directory, VMware, NAS Storage, Backup & Recovery, and SQL Server environments.
  • Technical Troubleshooting : Strong problem-solving skills in complex IT settings.
  • Competencies :

  • ITIL Frameworks : Familiarity with ITIL principles (Incident, Problem, Request, Change Management).
  • Agile Methodologies : Understanding of Agile approaches and their application in IT projects.
  • Project Management : Basic project management experience, including task management.
  • Communication Skills : Ability to convey technical concepts clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Customer Focus : A strong client-oriented mindset, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Teamwork and Autonomy : Capable of working independently while excelling in a collaborative environment.

  • Proficiency in English and French are required
  • Candidates must be located in Montreal or willing to relocate
  • Hybrid setup with 2-3 days on-site per week
