Salary : $27.54 - $31.61 per hour (+10.6% in lieu of vacation and stat holidays)
About your role as a Casual On-Call - Bakery Supervisor
The Bakery Supervisor oversees the operation of Clements Centre Societys social enterprise, The Mindful Mouthful, performing duties to ensure smooth production processes, consistent product quality, good record management, adherence to licensing and Food Safe standards, and customer and team satisfaction
What you will bring :
- Demonstrated ability to consistently produce top-quality baked goods.
- Demonstrated skills in providing individualized support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, enhancing dignity and independence.
- Demonstrated knowledge of bakery operations, including licensing standards, Food Safe, product quality control, equipment and facility maintenance, marketing, product distribution, customer relations, and team management. (as per Island Health licensing requirements)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbally and in writing (English).
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and deal with competing priorities. Good time management.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize work and plan ahead and with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and adaptability to evolving scenarios inherent to the job.
- Physical and mental ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Requirements of the job :
Grade 12Three (3) years recent related experience in a commercially licensed bakery, including two (2) years supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Experience in a community inclusion setting, supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.Experience working in a unionized environment.Additional information :
