We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Hydrogeologist to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Hydrogeologist, you will have the opportunity to apply your expertise and contribute to industry-leading hydrogeology services for our mining clients.

How will you contribute :

In this role you will provide industry-leading hydrogeology services and utilize your extensive experience in hydrogeology to deliver high-quality assessments and support in the management and mitigation of impacted groundwater.

You will work on a wide range of projects in the mining industry, including tailings pond and waste rock assessments, acid rock drainage, metals leaching, mine permitting, environmental impact assessments, fractured bedrock assessment, aquifer mapping, well design and testing, aquifer evaluation, stratigraphic interpretation, water supply work, and groundwater modeling.

Business development :

Interact with clients to identify and develop new business opportunities. You will play a pivotal role in preparing technical and commercial proposals, showcasing your expertise and contributing to the growth of our organization.

Mentorship and leadership : Take on a leadership role by mentoring and guiding junior personnel. Your experience and knowledge will be instrumental in shaping the skills and capabilities of the team.

You will lead junior, intermediate, and technical field staff, ensuring the successful completion of projects and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Technical expertise :

Review field information, interpret geological and hydrogeological conditions, and prepare comprehensive reports. Provide sound technical recommendations and conclusions to clients, drawing from your deep understanding of hydrogeological principles and practices.

Collaboration and continuous improvement :

Collaborate with hydrogeologists across Canada to share and enhance technical best practices. Act as a key technical resource, providing guidance and review of projects and proposals.

Contribute to the overall strategic development of the Environment team by actively participating in multidisciplinary project teams.

Client relationships :

Develop and nurture relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. Your ability to build strong client relationships will be crucial in driving business growth and maintaining our reputation for excellence.

What will you contribute :

  • A degree in geology, hydrogeology, geological engineering, or a related discipline, along with 10-15 years of relevant experience in Canada.
  • A post-graduate degree specializing in hydrogeology is an asset.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer and / or Professional Geologist in British Columbia or Alberta.
  • Proven consulting experience at a senior level, demonstrating your ability to deliver exceptional results and work effectively in a client-focused environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to tackle complex hydrogeological challenges.
  • Previous experience in Potash Mining and skills in Numerical Groundwater Modeling would be considered an asset.

Compensation Range :

Expected compensation for this role is between $130,000 - $180,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, location, and potential impact on the role.
