Saskatchewan Blue Cross®, one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers, is currently recruiting for a full-time permanent Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in the IT Product Delivery Department. This position offers the flexibility to be in-office or participate in hybrid options based in our Saskatoon or Regina office.
JOB FUNCTION

Working as part of the IT Product Delivery team and reporting directly to the Manager, IT Product Delivery, the Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for supporting the quality assurance for application system projects. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop test strategy and test plan, write, and execute test cases for manual and automated testing, prepare and present test reporting, and actively seek test process optimizationFollow automated test frameworks and guidelines to develop, grow, and maintain automated test coverage across various application product lines – mobile applications, web applications, and data centered operationsUsing the test management tool, create test cases and suites for each level of testing - functional in sprints, end-to-end, regression, and release testsTake up new initiatives and work on proof of concepts regarding latest tools and automation frameworks as neededSupport UAT testing, and provide assistance on application incident resolutionDrive operational excellence by focusing on continuous improvement efforts and documenting QA processesMaintain a mindset of continuous quality improvements by highlighting deficiencies and proactively recommending changes in tools, process, reporting, and employee trainingAs part of a dynamic team, work in close collaboration with a team of specialists - developers, domain subject matter experts, and business representativesParticipate in and contribute to user story reviews and provide estimations for test effortWork on various assignments within timelines by contributing from planning to delivery stagesRegular review and assessment of project goals, accomplishments, and priorities to meet personal, departmental, and organizational objectivesPerform other related projects and duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Completion of a Post-Secondary Diploma in Computer Science, and a minimum of 3 years of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be consideredDemonstrated experience of creating and conducting automated, regression, and functional testingStrong hands-on experience using Selenium, Playwright, Katalon, JMeter, PostMan, JIRA, SQL, Python would be considered as an assetPrevious experience in supporting large scale application solutions with API integrationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand business requirements and design test scenarios accordinglyAbility and desire to work in an agile environmentExcellent communication and teamwork skillsDemonstrated ability to work within time constraints to meet strict deadlinesExperiences with testing mobile applications would be considered as an assetThe successful candidate will be required to undergo a background checkMust be legally entitled to work in Canada on an unrestricted basisHOW TO APPLY
