Job Description
How You’ll Make an Impact :
- Service, install, maintain, and repair all medical equipment including but not limited to the following; medical, lab, diagnostic, and electronic medical equipment safely and promptly
- Perform incoming inspections and testing on all new equipment and newly arrived equipment that has been serviced outside the hospital, and maintain an up-to-date incoming inspection and service record of this equipment
- Acquire the training and knowledge necessary to repair and service selected new and existing medical equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, maintain PM records, and participate in Department and Hospital Quality programs and initiatives
- Maintain competence by participating in hospital education and departmental equipment training programs
- Work with the other Biomedical Electronics Technologists and Hospital to ensure a safe environment for staff, visitors and patients
- Project work and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
What You’ll Need to Succeed :
Diploma in Biomedical Technology or equivalent1+ years experience in medical equipment and smart beds services in a hospital settingExcellent customer service skillsStrong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and interpersonal skillsCBET Certification an assetKnowledge in Operating Room / Peri-Operative Services is preferredKnowledge of IT networks is preferredAbility to lift heavy objects (up to 35 kg's)Ability to work in fast paced environmentAbility to work independently or as a member of a teamMust have a valid Ontario driver’s license and access to personal vehicle as travel between sites will be required.Additional Information
