Accounts Receivable Specialist
Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based in their Pickering office, joining our highly successful finance team and will be a responsible for the Accounts Receivable Cycle and Collections.
The individual must be independently motivated, detailed oriented and have strong organizational skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for this position.
Above average Knowledge Excel and Word is essential. Proficiency in French would be a strong asset.
Responsibilities :
- Daily cash receipts
- Collection calls
- Investigate and resolve all customer enquiries and issues
- Maintaining the ERP customer database
- Process Customer Credit Applications
- Process credit card transactions
- Process EDI or portal files
- Create & Post Journal Entries
- Prepare and submit Weekly and Monthly reports
- Maintaining the accuracy of the accounts receivable sub-ledger
- Bank and other GL account Reconciliations
- Assist with various initiatives and projects relating to Accounting
Required Experience
- Bilingual English & French
- More than 2 years in A / R and collections
- Good credit and collection practices
- Above average skill in Excel
- Excellent communication and networking skills both written and oral.
- Can work both independently and in a team environment.
- Quick learner
- Detailed oriented individual
- Great time management and organizational skills
