Our client, a leading Tier 1 manufacturing supplier is looking for a PLC / Manufacturing Engineering Technician (Night Shift) to join their team as they expand production at their facility in Windsor. Your drive for continuous improvement and quality regarding manufacturing processes and products will help this new facility succeed.

Night shift100% onsiteRESPONSIBILITIES :
- Work with manufacturing to maximize production and quality through continuous improvement of existing processes and development of new process for product launches
- Designing specialized jigs and fixtures
- Support product development through development of engineering design, analysis, and tests
- Analyzing problems involving machine design, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and heat transfer
- Perform machine set ups and trial runs to ensure optimal performance
- Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions and out of tolerance product; and to ensure machine functionality is within specifications. Work with manufacturing to adjust as required
- Lead training of PLC end-users at customer locations and represent utilizing results-driven problem-solving skills
- Focus on IATF standards; conduct internal IATF audits
- Work with quality department to verify quality of finished product before shipment
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :
- Mechanical Engineering Technician Diploma; Certified Engineering Technologist designation an asset
- Three (3) years of experience in PLC programming / editing / troubleshooting with Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000 in a automotive manufacturing setting required; JIT experience an asset
- Machine debugging and trouble shooting experience
- Experience with Fanuc robotics
- Project Management experience preferred
- Production cell layout experience
- Knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD and MasterCAM
- Problem solving skills with the ability to adapt and drive continuous improvement
- Ability to get along with all employee levels within an organization as well as vendors and customers
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS :
- $75,000 - 85,000 / year depending on experience, Overtime eligible after 40 hours / week and potential for bonus
