Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate as an integral team member, providing non‑direct and / or non‑clinical healthcare support to clients, residents, families, and visitors.
• Establish rapport with clients and families, promoting physical, emotional, cultural, social, and spiritual well‑being.
• Observe clients and environments to identify and report unsafe conditions, behavioral, or physical changes to a designated supervisor.
• Assist with mealtime activities, including setting up dining areas, transporting clients, collecting meal trays, and preparing light meals and beverages.
• Support activity participation by setting up supplies, transporting clients, and encouraging involvement.
• Perform housekeeping duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, and handling laundry.
• Greet visitors and others in accordance with safety, security, and infection control procedures.
• Check and restock supplies for personal care, first aid, and housekeeping, and assist in inventory management.
• Maintain related records electronically or via documents such as inter‑shift communication books, daily log sheets, and progress reports related to non‑direct and / or non‑clinical activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Training, and Experience

Grade 10, including successful completion of English 10 or equivalency.

Skills and Abilities

Compensation

The target hiring range for this position is $24.80 to $24.80 with a maximum of $24.80.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
