Mobile Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic based in our Grand Forks, BC location to join the Operational Maintenance team.

Pay Rate : $43.98 / hour

Your future team :

You will become part of the Operational Maintenance team reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, and Maintenance Lead Hand.

What you will be doing :

Responsible for maintaining strong reliability of all mobile equipment on site.

The position is for 8 hr work days, Monday through Friday. There may be possible OT if required.

Responsible for the execution of daily maintenance needed on equipment as well as fulfilling the preventative maintenance program.

Ensure that needed and correct spare parts are readily available to maintain maximum operational up time at minimum costs.

Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of equipment repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsible for ensuring machinery and equipment that are subject to legislative and / or regulatory requirements are in compliance with applicable rules and regulations regarding systematic inspection and testing.

What you bring :

Red Seal Mechanic Certification

Heavy duty equipment repair background.

5 years or more in as a mechanic in an Industrial position.

Forklift repair experience

Safety orientation, and strong value for safety.

Air brake knowledge, and experience.

Diesel, propane, electric and hydraulic background are required.

Strong computer skills (experience with SAP, Excel, and others) will be an asset.

The ability to work alone and take direction for the Maintenance Supervisor.
