In accordance with established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate.
The Regional Diet Office Technician is responsible for maintaining the operation of the NH Regional Diet Office which serves the needs of patients, residents, and staff in various food operations in Northern Health.
The Regional Diet Office Technician is responsible for contributing to the maintenance of the CBORD system, which includes accurately updating patient diets and food preferences.
Supports and collaborates with Food Service staff in decision making at all NH sites and assisting in the planning, testing and execution of the emergency back up plans.
The position also assists in the development and delivery of training programs for end users.
Shift Rotation / Hours of work : Monday to Friday, 07 : 30 to 15 : 30
Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre has 44 Acute Care beds and 124 residential beds and is equipped to handle 22,000 ER visits per year.

Overlooking the Peace River, the town of Fort St John is located above the Peace River Valley and serves as the capital of the Peace River district.
The population of Fort St. John is over 21,400 but it services an area of approximately 70,000. The community is the hub of the Northeast with a cultural centre and library, theatre, and art space.
There are seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and one secondary school. There is also a Northern Lights College campus.

Qualfications
Graduation from a recognized two-year program in Food Service Supervision, plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills and Abilities :
