Reinsurance Finance Operations Specialist

Our Reinsurance Finance Operations team plays a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and reporting for our reinsurance activities.

Position Summary : We are seeking an experienced Reinsurance Finance Operations Specialist. This role is crucial in producing reinsurer reporting and reinsurance statements, ensuring the accurate reflection of reinsurance transactions in our financial records.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of reinsurance operations, finance, and reporting, coupled with the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Produce accurate and timely reinsurer reporting and reinsurance statements, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and oversee the reconciliation process for reinsurance transactions, including premiums, claims, and commissions.
  • Collaborate with the Reinsurance Operations team to ensure seamless data flow and accurate financial recording of ceded transactions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational procedures and best practices within the reinsurance finance function.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Act as a subject matter expert within the finance team, providing guidance and support on reinsurance accounting and reporting issues.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Proven experience in reinsurance finance operations, with a strong emphasis on reporting and statement production.
  • Comprehensive understanding of reinsurance contracts, accounting practices, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • A professional finance or accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA) is highly desirable.
