Speech Language Pathologist - Part-Time
We are excited to have a Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist opportunities available immediately until June 2026.
Lethbridge School Division is looking for dynamic, self-motivated, caring and enthusiastic team leaders to fill the role of casual Speech Language Pathologist. Reporting to the Director of Inclusive Education and Early Childhood Coordinator, the casual Speech Language Pathologist will primarily support school and assessment needs to promote the success of all children and students from Early Education to grade 12. Part-Time opportunity position :
- Hours will vary between 4-35 hours per week depending on availability of the candidate(s) and Division needs. Working hours would be between 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm Monday - Thursday, and 8 : 00 am - 2 : 00 pm on Fridays.
Speech-Language Pathologist (Part-Time) will :
Deliver a continuum of support within the division’s Response to Instruction and Intervention framework (RTI2)Provide universal strategies to support all students in inclusive classroomsFacilitate, through play, the development of age-appropriate skillsBased on a referral system, provide student-specific assessment and therapeutic programmingAdminister, score and interpret standardized assessmentsComplete assessment and treatment reports and year-end summariesProvide recommendations for universal, targeted and specialized services based on data gatheredCollaborate with other therapists / specialists occupational therapist, behaviour) to support student developmentParticipate as a member of the Learning Team to develop, facilitate, and monitor student program plans and successful transitionsProvide recommendations and consult with Complex Communication Team regarding augmentative or alternative communication systemsFacilitate professional learning opportunities for school teams in the area of speech and language (visuals, social pragmatics, language development)The ideal candidate will possess :

Education, Certification and Experience Required :
Degree in a recognized program in Speech-Language PathologyBe registered with Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)Be eligible for certification with the Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC)Experience working in an educational setting is preferredProof of Education and Certification is required. Education received outside of Canada will require a Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) confirming high school or post secondary equivalencies.Class 5 driver's licenseCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :
