Position Summary :
We invite you to join a growing, dynamic, and always innovating team at INLIV as a Medical Care Coordinator! Our Medical Care Coordinators provide outstanding customer service and administrative assistance to our clients.
They are accountable to practitioners and provide support to the Medical Care Coordinator Team, when coverage is required.
This role reports to the Clinic Operations Lead.
What you will be doing :
We are seeking an administrative professional who is highly customer service orientated and provides excellent client experience.
Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical support role and be passionate about helping others.
- Support a team of health care providers and take initiative to anticipate the future needs of physicians and patients
- High level of communication (on the phone and in person), facilitating a strong patient / physician relationship
- Answer calls and contacting patients to notify them of all follow-up care
- Maintain and manage the schedule for patients and physicians
- Creating and maintaining up-to-date patient charts in the EMR
- Scan and link all incoming documents to patient charts in the EMR
- Secure and follow up regarding appointments for lab work, further diagnostic testing or specialist consultations
- Ensure consult replies have been reviewed
- Process prescription refill requests
- Manage examination room set-up and supplies
- Create invoices for services and submit billings
- EMR work desk management, data entry and file review
- Create a consistent outstanding patient experience
You have :
- Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a family medical clinic setting
- Proactive, able to work independently and take initiative
- Dedicated to an excellent patient experience, consistently demonstrating care and the highest level of service
- CHR-Input Health EMR experience is considered an asset
- Demonstrated dedication to the healthcare industry, and thorough understanding of medical terminology and concepts
- Ability to adapt to new technology and changing processes and procedures
- Team player attitude
- Excellent communication skills with both patient and team interactions
- Passion for helping others
The salary offered for this position falls within a specified salary range and will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific needs of the organization.
