Lead Platform Analyst, Network Security , Brampton, ON

In this role, you will provide critical support, and continually strive to enhance our security posture while working closely with a supporting team whose purpose is to build simple, resilient, and scalable network solutions, which help all Canadians Live Life Well.

What You'll Do :

  • Perform support activities required to maintain the organization’s network security objectives which include day to day operations and rotational on-call duties
  • Act as a key operations resource with a focus on the timely resolution of network security issues and incidents to minimize business impact
  • Work alongside network architects and designers to assist with the evaluation, design, planning and implementation of new network security solutions that enhance overall security posture
  • Analyze existing network security platforms and identify potential opportunities to optimize and improve existing configurations to ensure alignment to security policies and standards
  • Provide support to Incident Response and Vulnerability Management teams to assist with determining potential impacts and next steps during network security incidents and vulnerability management operations.

What You Bring :

  • Hands on experience with firewalls and cloud native security toolsets, including security policy management and optimization
  • Knowledge of network access control and endpoint detection and response solutions
  • Solid grasp of standard networking technologies including, IP routing and transport technologies, advanced switching and application-aware load balancing.
  • Comprehensive understanding of basic network security principles and objectives including physical and logical network segmentation methods.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud-networking concepts across various cloud services provider environments
  • Superior problem solving and decision-making skills in order to resolve network security related issues in a timely manner
  • Strong communications skills and a curious mind to spur discussion and find new ways of protecting the enterprise and our customers
